Salisbury Lodges - Wilderness Retreat

Salisbury Lodges is a Wilderness Retreat on the Boundary of the World Heritage Barrington Tops National and Park and the Williams River. Offering great walks into the Park from the property and great short drives into the park and surrounding small villages,in the Dungog Shire. We are a wilderness retreat of 25 years still owner/operated by its builder Austrian Born Joe and his kiwi born wife Phillippa. It is a place to relax get back in touch with nature and leave the world behind for a short break. You can climb a mountain, swim in crystal clear water and when time and weather permits enjoy a pit fire at night under the stars. Or just sit and relax in any of our many nooks and crankies. The buildings have been built as mountain huts to blend with there enviroment. It is great place for hobbies like, photography, art, star watching yoga but to mention a few things. Our Luxury is our environment. Araluen licensed restaurant IS CLOSED DUE COVID19 Limited Mobile reception..bring insect repellent, fire lighter, shoes for walking, suitable clothing for bush walking. Getting here - using GPS - put in Dowling street - Dungog 2420 - only then put in our street address 2930 Salisbury Road, SALISBUR Free open off street car parking .Araluen Restaurant does not operate 7 days any more - It will only open for 6 or more patrons and by arrangement only. We are happy to do cooked breakfast at 9.am but must be booked 72 hours at least inadvance -other meals please ask. There are facilities to cook in Lake Lodge, Williams Chalet and Bush Nook. BBQ in all rooms. 1.5hrs to Newcastle/ 2.5hrs Sydney/Hornsby2 hours to Williamstow Dungog 38k.
