Our jungle side all be it a 5 minute walk set back in to the jungle does come with its own perks. It has its own bar with pool table and projector streaming sports. Aswell as 5 x 6 bed dorms and 3 x luxury bungalows. Yes its more of a walk but when you want to relax and get away from the madness, Nest jungleside certainly does the trick. How to get to Nest Beach Club Koh Rong is easy to travel to once inside Cambodia, Thailand or Vietnam. It’s just a bus ride to Sihanoukville where you can catch a speed ferry from 8am to 5pm from the main pier in town. When you arrive on the island you can simply walk to get here from both piers or alternatively get a tuk tuk or taxi boat. Getting to Sihanoukville If you’re traveling from Phnom Penh there are several bus companies that drive to Sihanoukville. These cost anywhere between $8 and $15 and take around 3-3.5 hours. Taxi will be faster and should cost somewhere between $55 to $70. From the Koh Kong border with Thailand it’s about 4.5 hours in a bus. Some bus tickets get you a transfer from the border to the bus station although sometimes you’ll need to get a tuk tuk. It takes about 15 minutes and should cost under $5. The last bus leaves at about 2pm and after this time you’ll need to get a taxi or stay overnight by the border. If you get the afternoon bus service it’s unlikely you will make the last boat to the island so we advise you to try and leave in the morning if possible. Sihanoukville also has a small airport that is currently opening up and taking in more air traffic. Flights can go very cheaply at times so it’s worth checking their availability. Boats to the island There are an increasing number of ferry services now running to Koh Rong, all of which leave from Sihanoukville. All speed ferry companies drop off at both Lonset pier and Koh Touch. Longset is a 15 minute walk along the beach or you can use our Nest taxi boat service which will be waiting ready at the pier. Alternatively you can get dropped off at the main pier in Koh Touch. Turn right and walk along the beach and through the leafy jungle path to Nest. This should take 20 - 30 minutes.
