Our Ballina Motel, Almare Motel was built in 1975 and bears its name from the Italian translation of “At The Sea”. After many owners, Erin Beattie and Nicole Blackmore purchased the property in mid-2018 as a family owned and run business, with the intention of updating and renovating the property. Both have a lifelong history in the hospitality industry having worked in hotels and motels around the country. Erin is a chef by trade, and combined they have over 50 years experience. Together they plan to breathe new life into the Almare Tourist Hotel, bringing it into line with modern expectations by providing clean and comfortable accommodation at budget-friendly prices. Situated in the main street of Ballina, the motel is conveniently located for shopping and eating out. It’s only a short drive to Ballina’s famous beaches and river, and 25 minutes to Byron Bay. It’s an ideal location for both long-haul commuters travelling up and down the east coast, or for those wanting a relaxing getaway in the beautiful Northern Rivers region.

Payment requirements depend on the selected booking and rate conditions. Payment may be collected at the time of booking or by the property before or during arrival. Please refer to the payment conditions displayed during the reservation process.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before 6:00 PM on the arrival date. Otherwise, the first night's accommodation charge will apply. For Christmas, Easter and the October Long Weekend, at least 72 hours' cancellation notice is required. Otherwise, the same charge applies.
In the event of a no-show, the first night's accommodation fee may be charged. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before 6:00 PM on the arrival date. For Christmas, Easter and the October Long Weekend, 72 hours' notice is required.
Children of all ages are welcome. Children above 12 years of age are charged as adults. Additional guests and bedding arrangements are subject to the maximum occupancy of the selected room.
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Guests arriving after 9:00 PM are requested to contact the property in advance to arrange their arrival. The minimum age for the person checking in is 18 years.
